Supplier terms & compliance
Terms for supplier partners
On Wholesale Trend In Need, retailers, resellers and boutique owners buy full catalogues in bulk; single pieces are not sold. To make sure every supplier partner gets the full benefit of the platform, the following rules apply to all suppliers.
01Eligibility & catalogue
- GST registration is compulsory to work as a supplier partner with Wholesale Trend In Need.
- Share at least 10–15 catalogues. Prices must be for the full catalogue (with MOQ), not for a single piece.
- Share product images and a 1-minute video of each full catalogue, so buyers can understand the fabric and the complete design.
02Dispatch timelines
- Share only catalogues that can be dispatched within 3 days.
- If a product needs more than 3 days (but not more than 4 days) to dispatch, tell us when you share the product.
- All orders on Wholesale Trend In Need are prepaid; cash on delivery is not available to buyers. If a dispatch delay of more than 3 days leads the buyer to cancel the order, a penalty of ₹500 is charged to the supplier.
03Packing & returns
- Each order contains multiple products, so share a parcel packing video for every order to avoid disputes about missing, wrong or defective items. Buyers are also required to provide a parcel opening video.
- Returns are accepted only for missing, defective or wrong products. If the return reason is confirmed and the buyer cancels or exchanges the order, the supplier pays the shipping cost for sending and returning the parcel.
- We share return tracking details with you. If a return parcel is not delivered, inform Wholesale Trend In Need within 48 hours of the delivery date so timely action can be taken. After 48 hours, Wholesale Trend In Need is not responsible for the missing parcel.
04Payments & invoices
- Payment is made monthly, on the 7th of every month, for all orders that are successfully delivered and confirmed by the buyer.
- To avoid payment delays, share your GST invoice as soon as we share the order list. Raise any dispute about the order list within 48 hours of receiving it. If the GST invoice is not received before the 7th, that payment is carried forward to the next month.
By submitting the supplier application you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. Commercial terms such as our operating margin are shared during onboarding.
FAQ
Questions suppliers ask us
Who can become a supplier partner?
Manufacturers, handloom weavers, printing, embroidery and hand-painting units, and master distributors of sarees, dress material and dupattas who have ready stock and can handle bulk orders. Retailers and resellers are not eligible as suppliers.
Is it free to apply?
Yes. Applying and listing are free. Our operating margin is added on top of your base wholesale price, and the percentage for your category is agreed during onboarding.
Is GST registration mandatory for suppliers?
Yes. GST registration is compulsory for supplier partners, and you upload your GST certificate with the application along with your PAN card and a cancelled cheque.
How and when do suppliers get paid?
Monthly, on the 7th, by bank transfer, for orders that were delivered and confirmed by the buyer. Share your GST invoice as soon as we send you the order list; if it arrives after the 7th, that payment moves to the next month.
How quickly do I need to dispatch an order?
Within 3 days of a confirmed order, or up to 4 days if you told us when you shared the product. We arrange courier pickup from your unit; you pack the order and record a packing video.
Will buyers contact me directly?
No. Our team handles every buyer enquiry, order update and delivery query, so you never get buyer calls or bargaining requests.
How are returns handled?
Returns are accepted only for missing, defective or wrong products, and your packing video protects you in any dispute. If a return is confirmed and the buyer cancels or exchanges the order, the supplier pays the shipping cost both ways.
How long does onboarding take?
Verification usually takes 3–5 working days. After you share your catalogues and we agree your price and MOQ, most suppliers go live within about 10 days of applying.
Do I need to be based in Mumbai?
No. We are based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and work with suppliers across India, including Kota, Varanasi, Bhagalpur and Surat. Onboarding is done remotely and pickups are arranged from your unit.
Which products can I supply?
Sarees, dress material and unstitched suits, and dupattas: handloom and power-loom, printed, embroidered, gota patti and hand-painted. If you supply a brand you don't own, you need the brand's authorisation.
